Two decades after the debut of the first "Boxster" model, "Porsche" introduced a series of roadsters with mid-mounted engines that were practically created from scratch. The new generation models will henceforth be called "718 Boxster" and "718 Boxster S". These two-seater cars with a removable roof are even more powerful and consume less fuel. The new models continue the tradition of "Porsche" cars with four-cylinder horizontally opposed engines. These engines were used in the racing "Porsche 718" cars that achieved victories in various races of the last century's sixth and seventh decades, including Targa Florio and Le Mans.

In terms of design, the new "Boxster" features new styled wings and side skirts, while wider side air intakes with pronounced contour lines provide a greater sense of dynamism. The new models come with 18-inch wheels, while the "718 Boxster S" is equipped with 19-inch diameter rims, and 20-inch rims are available at an additional cost.

A passionate, sporty driving style is enabled by a newly configured chassis and more powerful brakes. These advantages are particularly evident when cornering. The electromechanical power steering is tuned to provide a more direct road feel, making the "718 Boxster" models even more agile and easier to handle, both on the racetrack and on regular roads.

Inside the new "718 Boxster" models, the attention is first drawn to the new instrument panel and front panel. Additionally, the latest generation "Porsche Communication Management" system with a touchscreen is now standard equipment. It is prepared for phone integration, has various audio connections, and a 110 W power sound system called "Sound Package Plus". Its functionality can be expanded with additional optional modules such as navigation or "Connect Plus".
