In designing the „S90“, the creators drew inspiration from their native culture. In every innovative function and elegantly simple design element, there is a touch of Sweden.
The new „Volvo“ modular platform architecture (Scalable Product Architecture, SPA) allowed the designers to extend the boundaries of exterior design in ways that were previously impossible. This resulted in a luxurious car that expresses power and solidity through its proportions. With a focus on achieving precise proportions, this became the foundation for creating the solid and confidence-inspiring character of the S90.
